In Summer 1999 Albatross Projects GmbH was founded n Heidenheim an der Brenz. On October 1st 1999 it took over the EMC-Systems activities from Siemens Matsushita Components GmbH. The take over occurred by a Management-Buy-Out with the participation of the most important business partners. The complete transaction was implemented and set into operation within a few months.

Due to a lean organization structure we are a powerful enterprise which offers all possibilities to expand into new markets and to acquire new customers. Albatross Projects GmbH is a dynamic company with major advantages, ready to react on customer needs and requirements.

History

Albatross Projects GmbH is the former business unit EMC-Systems which started in 1930 with Siemens and then in 1989 belonging to Siemens Matsushita Components GmbH. The business unit successfully established in the market proved to be one of the leading suppliers of EMC-Systems.

During the past years, several milestones have been accomplished: In 1930 we built the first industrial shielded room, in 1960 a high-voltage test chamber (height: 20m) for voltages up to 740kV, in 1992 Europe's largest EMC-Test Center for FIAT and in 1998 the biggest automotive test center in Asia for KIA-Motors. These are some of the highlights that represent our capability in determining innovative solutions, which also is proven by our actual RF-Shielding system used in MRI.

The list of our well-known international customers is long. Companies which trust in us are: BMW, Bosch, Mercedes Benz, Grundig, Blaupunkt, Sony, Kenwood, Sanyo, Ericsson, Hewlett- Packard, Samsung, Siemens, Olivetti, Mitsubishi, Seat, VW, Miele and many more.

Alessandro Hinrichs, formerly General Manager and International Sales Manager of the business unit EMC-Systems.

Timo Greiner, formerly sales engineer of the business unit EMC-Systems and several years exclusive agent of Siemens Matsushita Components in Germany.

Andreas Karl GmbH & Co in Fahrenzhausen, Germany, the main supplier of shielding components of Siemens and later of Siemens Matsushita Components since 1964.

Emerson & Cuming Microwave Products N.V. in Westerlo, Belgium, the preferred supplied anechoic materials of Siemens and later of Siemens Matsushita Components since 1965.

The well-known, skilled and experienced employees of Siemens Matsushita Components joined Albatross Projects GmbH. The close and continuous cooperation with our most important business partners ensures the operative and strategic continuity of the new enterprise.

The products of Albatross Projects GmbH are sold through our own local sales offices and agents for close relationship to our customers world wide.

Additionally, our Center of Competence which is located in Singapore serves our customers in Asia.
