The Patient’s Health

The patient’s health is the main focus of our joint effects. Magnetic Resonance Imaging systems generate high frequency magnetic fields. These influence the examination results and pollute the surrounding area. These fields are attenuated by the “all around” shielding effectiveness of our modular enclosure, the so-called MRI-Enclosure, as a protection for your customers and your results.

The MRI-Enclosure

Depending on your needs and the site conditions, a choice is made between two different systems: the modular non-magnetic aluminum system or the modular magnetic galvanized steel system. Both systems are developed according to the requirements of MRI system suppliers and the relevant standards. They are both overall concepts to ensure a trouble-free operation of your MRI system.

Safety

Machined floor-, wall- and ceiling panels form a “Faraday cage” which allows staff and patients hazard-free MRI system operations.


Easy Access

In addition to the standard door types, we can also offer the much more comfortable MRI sliding door with integrated electrical drive, which offers high functionality and saves space.



Materials

To comply with the requirements of different MRI systems suppliers and on-site conditions two basic materials are used: non-magnetic aluminum and magnetic galvanized


Clear View

Our observation windows ensure a clear view into the examination room. The usage as a “daylight” window creates a comfortable atmosphere, increasing the well-being staff and patients. Our MRI windows are available in several sizes and can be easily adapted to the local building conditions.



Quality

Just bolting together the modules does not achieve sufficient RF-tightness. This is achieved by an additional special RF-sealing between the modules


Self-Contained Room

The enclosure is self-supporting. No wall or ceiling support is required.


Special Features

Beside our standard enclosures, special designs are also available for difficult configurations, e.g. existing roof beams or columns.

Sound Insulation

Work in Quietness

Not only loud noise, but also continuous background noise impairs concentration and communication. The ever increasing performance of MRI systems results in higher levels of generated noise. Therefore, the sound insulation property of an MRI-Enclosure is increasingly become an important issue. According to the German Working Environment Regulations, the Technical Instructions on Noise an DIN 4109 (Sound Insulation in Building Construction) the following values apply:

Working Environment

  • 55 dB (A) – mainly intellectual activity

  • 70 dB (A) – mainly simple clerical work

  • 80 dB (A) – normal activities

Sound Insulation is an Important Safety Measure

We will design for you a specific sound insulation package, consisting of subsonic and airborne noise sound-protection. It will contain the noise level generated during image scanning at an optimal level in order to ensure safety at work and allow comfortable operations.

The subsonic noise protection uses elastomer mats to decouple the MRI equipment from the building floor. The airborne protection uses selected materials between the building and the MRI-Enclosure as well as between the MRI-Enclosure and the inner lining. We create a safe and comfortable working atmosphere by including sound-proof windows and doors.

The sound insulation package is designed to your specific requirements. The following values are typical:

Inner Lining

Customized Interior Decoration

The interior of your MRI-Enclosure is individually designed to your taste. Every style is possible from homely and conservative to Mediterranean.

Interior Design

We offer a variety of interior design features – from the floor to walls and ceiling.

The conductive floor covering is available in various colours and patterns.

The wall decoration can be either gypsum board and painted fiberglass tapestry or plastic coated chipboard. Also decorative wooden panels are available.

The suspended ceiling is either mineral fibre boards or aluminum panels. The boards or the panels can easily be removed for maintenance. Air-inlets or down-light illumination can be integrated as required.

We will be pleased to satisfy your specific demands.

Shelving and coil cupboards are very practical and round off the harmonic feeling.

Additional Shielding Measures

A major aspect during the planning and the realization of your MRI project is a homogenous magnetic field. This cannot be ensured when external interference sources are present. In this case we are able to provide additional magnetic shielding. With the delivery and the professional installation of this magnetic shielding, the safe operation of your MRI system is ensured without hazard to your patient or staff.
